TVS Advises on Qualcomm’s Acquisition of VinAI’s Generative AI Division
Thien Viet Securities (TVS) served as the exclusive financial advisor to VinAI in the strategic divestment of its Generative AI division to Qualcomm – one of the world’s leading technology corporations.
According to Qualcomm’s announcement, the company has completed the acquisition of MovianAI Artificial Intelligence Application and Research JSC (MovianAI), the former Generative AI division of VinAI and part of the Vingroup ecosystem. This strategic transaction marks a significant milestone in the development of Vietnam’s AI sector and reflects the increasing global interest in Vietnamese tech companies.
VinAI, a subsidiary of Vingroup, is widely recognized for its R&D capabilities in Generative AI, machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing (NLP). Post-acquisition, VinAI’s Generative AI division will be integrated into Qualcomm’s global ecosystem to accelerate the development of cutting-edge AI solutions across industries, from smartphones and PCs to software-defined vehicles.
